I love reading the applications we get. They’re inspiring, bold, and full of energy. Here’s a recent applicant explaining why she decided to break the mold and apply:
“Collegiate life was a little different than I expected. In many ways, college is a lot like high school; sitting within the same four-walled rooms in a cramped desk each day, completing various general education requirements, and writing one paper after another until it becomes a 4-AM-Redbull-induced-self-hatred-fueled-writing-extravaganza. Working a part-time job at a restaurant became more enjoyable than going to school, because the doing is much more fulfilling than the detachment of a classroom. I found myself no longer looking forward to pursuing college and I realized I wanted more.”
