From homeschoolers to college opt-outs and recent college grads, to young professionals looking to transition into a more dynamic career, every month a wide range of Praxis participants get started in apprenticeships at fast-growing companies.
During the Praxis Bootcamp, participants learn about the different types of roles available, develop projects to learn and show their skills, and work with our placement team to connect with opportunities, prepare for interviews, and win opportunities with our business partners.
They have real skin in the game throughout the entire process and learn on the fly what it takes to prove to a growing company they can create value for them.
Here are a few of our most recently placed apprentices and the companies they’re working for.
Participant: Aquinnah Bree
Business Partner: The Mission (San Fransisco, CA)
The Mission creates and distributes stories that drive brand trust and ROI. Helping mission-driven companies connect with customers for life.
Role: Copywriting Apprentice
Aquinnah was looking for ways to combine her passion for writing and entrepreneurship. She was accepted into college but realized that there was a better way to work towards her goal of becoming an author and entrepreneur.
She’ll be working remotely for The Mission writing podcast scripts and articles while learning what it takes to succeed in a fast-growing startup and practicing writing for the real world, instead of college professors.
Participant: Andrew Juncaj
Business Partner: The Mission (San Fransisco, CA)
Role: Audio and Video Production Apprentice
Andrew has always wanted to be an entrepreneur and saw that four years and a pile of debt from college was not going to help him get closer to that goal. He joined Praxis to dive right into a startup and learn what it takes to build a successful business.
Andrew started this month with The Mission in San Fransisco, producing video and audio for a brand new podcast.

Role: Client Success Representative
From a young age, Angelo knew he wanted to work in tech and he joined Praxis to help him get there.
In his words: “The possibility of circumventing the standard route of college, directly to the workforce is what excites me about Praxis. More specifically, I desire the skills, knowledge, and understanding needed to contribute within high growth industries, but I am stuck and disinterested in the sticky goo known as a standard run-of-the-mill college education.”
Angelo joined ClickUp in San Francisco and will work on the client success team while honing his programming skills and contributing to other projects.
He already started and is getting great reviews:
“Angelo is crushing it, and we’re pumped to have him here.” – Chris Cunningham, President of Client Success, ClickUp

He is joining Cincinnati Commercial Contracting for his apprenticeship where he will lead a redesign of their website, create marketing content, and build the top of their marketing funnel by finding ways to expand their reach.
“We’re excited for Timothy to start! His initiative and enthusiasm really stood out in the interview process and his project creating a draft an updated website site sealed the deal for us.” – John Westheimer, President, Cincinnati Commercial Contracting
Participant: Kaiden Foster
Business Partner: Telo (Atlanta, GA)

Role: Sales and Support Representative
From a young age, Kaiden has pursued entrepreneurship and forged his own path. As proof, when he was 12, he fell in love with dog sledding but his family lived in Oregon and he couldn’t go anywhere near there, so he started selling cupcakes and saving money to finance his own trip to Alaska.
With the four years of college standing between him and actually getting business experience that would help him grow towards his entrepreneurial goals, Kaiden turned down scholarship offers and joined Praxis.
In March he is moving at Atlanta and joining Telo as part of their Sales and Support team where he will be learning sales, developing internal training materials, and handling support inquires.
Read more about Kaiden in his blog post about accepting an offer from Telo.
“We have had a tremendous amount of success with our first hire from Praxis, Cameron Hembree. He has developed much quicker than we expected, and as a result it’s helped us achieve excellent sales traction. That made the decision to go back to Praxis and recruit more talent an easy one. As we looked at candidates Kaiden’s portfolio demonstrated a willingness to learn new technologies, take on challenges, and in his video interview he had no problem articulating himself. He was genuine, humble, and was not afraid to express a willingness to learn and grow. We think that we may be able to recreate the success have experienced with Cameron, and that’s exciting!” – Brent James, COO and Co-Founder, Telo
Participant: Sarah Loomis
Business Partner: My Magic Mud (New Braunfels, TX)
My Magic Mud is changing the way people brush their teeth with fluoride-free, activated Charcoal toothpaste. They are one of the fastest growing natural oral health products in the US.
Role: Inbound Operations Analyst
Sarah opted out of the college path and joined Praxis to start working towards her entrepreneurial goals.
In her words: “I truly want to start living and growing my own life. I don’t want to spend four years in college right now when I could be making money instead of accumulating debt for a job with overwhelming competition from people with the very same credentials as me. I want to be ahead of the game.”
Sarah is getting ahead of the game by joining the operations team at My Magic Mud.
