Our friends at the Thiel Foundation, founded by tech entrepreneur Peter Thiel of Paypal and Facebook fame, have two great opportunities for self-directed learners and doers.
First is the Thiel Fellowship, a two-year, $100,000 grant to 20 individuals age 20 and under who want to skip formal schooling and instead launch a startup or project. Apply now!
The second is the Thiel Summit, a twice a year event for a few hundred young inventors, hackers, entrepreneurs and innovators. If you’re interested in entrepreneurship but don’t have a solid enough idea yet for something like the Fellowship, apply for the invite-only summit.
Praxis has sponsored the last two summits, and our graduating class took part in one earlier this year, and it’s an energizing experience that will give you hope for the future. I highly recommend it!
