February was another busy month for placements at Praxis! Participants landed apprenticeships all across the country in cities like Austin, San Francisco, Atlanta, and more.
After the 3-6 month bootcamp, Praxis Participants interview for apprenticeships where they do real work with real companies. No more classrooms, no more lectures, no more credentials, only creating real value in the real world. Here’s an inside look at some of our recent placements:
Participant: Alex Kaczmarek
Businsess Partner: Foundation for Economic Education (Atlanta, GA)
Role: Marketing Specialist
After graduating college, Alex realized he had nothing to show for it except for a lump of student debt and a fancy piece of paper. He was ready to create value in the real world, so he joined Praxis.
Going into the program, Alex didn’t know much about marketing, but he had a strong desire to learn. The Praxis advisor team worked closely with him to build a skill set in Hubspot marketing, and within 2 weeks he landed his apprenticeship at FEE, where he develops and implements marketing strategy using landing pages, email campaigns, and much more.
Participant: Madison Kanna
Businsess Partner: Midtown Micro (Sacramento, CA)
Role: Junior Developer
Madison was homeschooled for most of her life. After giving college a try, she realized it wasn’t helping her achieve her goals. So she joined Praxis to build a more customized education for herself.
Madison didn’t have much professional experience programming when she started, but during the Praxis bootcamp she decided to buckle down and teach herself web design. She wanted it badly enough that within a month she landed a junior programming apprenticeship where she will be working directly with the development team on important projects right away.
Participant: Jackson Sullivan
Businsess Partner: Vital Interaction (Austin, TX)
Role: Sales Development
Jackson left high school because he was ready to create value in the real world. He couldn’t sit still in his classes, so he spent his time doing freelance design and marketing work.
Jackson is an excellent communicator and has the raw energy to get people excited, so he decided to channel his ability into sales. He’s now working with a small team at Vital Interaction generating interest for their product and actively building relationships with customers.
Participant: David Hennigan
Businsess Partner: Fieldbook (San Francisco, CA)
Role: Growth Associate
David came into Praxis with some sales experience, and having tried multiple small business ventures. He was ready to jump head first into a small company to work with a team that was ready to grow quickly.
He just got hired by Fieldbook, an easy-to-use spreadsheet database company, where he will be working directly with the CEO to develop and implement a strong and scalable sales process.
