I was a junior at Wayne State University, and I didn’t know what I was doing there. It was expensive and time consuming. My classes were uncompetitive, fruitless, and boring. After two and a half years, I didn’t feel any closer to knowing what I wanted to do career-wise. My major, political science, was reluctantly chosen because I thought of it as the “least bad” option. How could I stay on this aimless track for so long? Because I was unaware of any feasible alternative.
I chose Praxis because it is my alternative to the pointless, costly degree I was mind-numbingly pursuing. It takes the practical approach to education by enabling me to do what I do best, work. By working at an entrepreneurial, growing business that coincides with a rigorous online curriculum, I will gain valuable knowledge and confidence I need as I transition into the professional world. The hands on education model that Praxis offers is unparalleled and will allow me to achieve my long-term goal of being a successful businessman and a well rounded individual. I’m excited to be a participant in the first ever Praxis class. Most importantly, I’m excited to grow as a person from the experiences I will have over the course of the program.
