Cameron Sorsby applied to Praxis having already graduated from college and gotten a job that he loves. He works for the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) in Atlanta, GA, but wants to gain the kind of knowledge he didn’t get in school. The Praxis curriculum, portfolio projects, and workshops appealed to him as a way to bolster sharpen his entrepreneurial urges. FEE was excited to participate and see a young employee challenge himself and grow through the program.
“I was never satisfied with formal schooling and always relied on experiences outside the classroom to educate myself. Whether it was on a sports field, an engaging internship, or even just hanging out with friends, it was always the real life experiences that have given me the chance to better myself. I find myself in an ideal situation following my mixed experience of higher education. I have a great job working for an organization I am passionate about and I finally get to experience an educational program that will be truly rewarding.
I’m choosing Praxis because I am determined to find fulfillment, professionally and personally. Learning about Praxis was exciting for me because it sounded like everything an effective educational experience should be; self-driven, diverse, and purposeful. I can’t express how excited I am to be a part of the inaugural class. I look forward to working hard and becoming a more creative and knowledgeable person.”
