We’re excited to announce that we’ll be placing a Praxis participant with DeepGram this fall/winter to help a groundbreaking tech startup grow its business development, sales, and marketing divisions.
DeepGram was founded by two particle physicists to provide a quick and easy way to search audio recordings. Rather than relying on transcription services and searching transcripts for keywords, phrases, and conversation points, DeepGram lets its clients search the audio directly. This opens up huge opportunities and efficiencies in areas like call center recordings, education lectures, and media. The team is now looking to grow their business development, sales, and marketing funnels. They want a Praxis participant to help them achieve this.
Admitted into Y Combinator’s Winter 2016 class and now based in downtown San Francisco, DeepGram is just minutes away from the Bay Bridge and some of San Francisco’s most exciting neighborhoods. The chosen participant must be excited about working in an extremely fast-paced startup environment on a small, early stage team of people doing high-tech work. The chosen participant does not need a strong knowledge of particle physics or technical background — instead, they need to be excited about working with the 3-person team, able to learn quickly, and an excellent communicator. This is a great opportunity to join a true tech company without needing a tech background or years and years of experience.
Some example projects a Praxis participant can expect to complete at Deepgram:
- Write blog posts and content highlighting the team’s developments (check out the DeepGram blog here)
- Manage the team’s social media marketing and outside-facing communications
- Create marketing & sales collateral, e.g., white papers for different verticals, pitch decks, use cases.
- Outbound lead generation via email
- Manage inbound leads, follow up with and prospect leads, drive engagement with 100+ potential clients
The selected candidate will be based in San Francisco, CA and will have access to some of the biggest names in tech. A successful participant would have the opportunity to join the team full-time.
