Praxis takes place wherever the best opportunities are found across the United States and Canada.
We believe in taking advantage of the connected world we live in, freeing people from the constraints of geography, harnessing powerful entrepreneurial hubs, and challenging participants to gain the skills that can only come from moving to a new city…all at once. How? By combining both virtual and in-person experiences.
The six-month professional bootcamp can be done from anywhere with an internet connection. This allows participants to engage with the Praxis material, advisors, and community from wherever they are while they build their brand and skills as we work with them to find the perfect business partner match.
Participants are matched with their business partner during the bootcamp, which gives them time to prep and plan for relocation. The apprenticeship typically begins around month six or seven, depending on when participants are placed.
The six month startup apprenticeship takes place wherever the participant’s business partner is located. Participants live and work there, and complete the Praxis education experience simultaneously. We have a vast and growing network of startups, so participants could be in nearly any major city. We like to cluster participants in the same city whenever possible, and we have several cities like Austin, Atlanta, St. Petersburg, Charleston, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and the San Francisco Bay Area with a high number of participants, alumni, and business partners. That being said, our top priority is finding the best opportunity for the participant regardless of location.
We do not currently have a business partner network outside of the U.S. and Canada. However, this does not necessarily preclude non-U.S. or non-Canadian citizens from the program. If you have a visa to live and work in the U.S. during the apprenticeship, we can work with you.
Bottom line: don’t let geography stop you!
