“The man who knows how will always have a job. The man who knows why will always be his boss.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Whether you like thinking about business or not, the odds are good that you’re going to spend a considerable portion of your time and energy building a business.
The distinction between having a job and building a business is not as sharp and clear as many of us are led to believe.
Most people who have jobs are actively engaged in building a business of some kind. It might not be their own business, but they’re building somebody’s business.
At the top of the economic chain in most places of employment is a business owner with a business vision.
Every time an employer shows up for work, they’re helping that business owner fulfill his or her business vision.
Now, if that’s true, then many of us should be asking ourselves the following question:
“What approach to building a business is most likely to be effective?”
Are we most likely to be effective when we’re doing business consciously or when we’re doing business unconsciously?
The answer to this question should be obvious:
We are more likely to succeed at anything if we’re deliberate and intentional in our activities.
Now, here are some more questions I’d like you to think about:
If you’re going to do business anyway, why not do it deliberately and intentionally?
If you’re going to work for a business anyway, why not develop the kind of skills and experiences that will keep you from being just another replaceable cog in somebody else’s wheel?
If you’re going to help somebody build a business, why not entertain the possibility of that somebody being yourself?
If you’re going to work hard on business activities, why not get the kind of education and training that will allow you to maximize your opportunities?
This is what Praxis does. Praxis gives you options. More importantly, Praxis shows you how to create options.
We’re not selling you an expensive degree that may or may not take you where you want to go. We’re not in the business of showing you how to look for a job. We’re here to show you how to think, act, and create like an actual business owner. We’re here to connect you with real entrepreneurs who will provide you with hands-on practical experience while you get paid.
If you plan on marrying a millionaire, winning the lotto, or living off an inheritance, we may have nothing to offer you. But if you don’t fall into those categories, there’s a decent chance you’ll be doing business in order to make a living someday.
Why not approach that reality in a way that gives you the most options?
Why not break the mold?
