I normally like to give away the punchline right upfront.
But I’m going to take a page out of TK’s playbook and build some suspense with some setup.
For the past 6 years as CEO of this company, I have done everything I know how to make Praxis the greatest experience in the world. We have been relentlessly dedicated to helping young people discover and do what makes them come alive. And we’ve done it. And we keep doing it better.
One of the things I’ve learned over the years is that I am not very good at very many things. But I’ve also found just a very few things that are my sweet spot. One of those is the ability to identify and recruit amazing people. This has been crucial, because we need people who can do everything better than me, otherwise we’d be screwed! I think the team in place at Praxis is my greatest accomplishment as CEO.
Since we hatched the idea for this Crash thing, I have been a bit of an absentee CEO. Sara and TK have done an amazing job keeping the trains running and taking on a lot of stuff above and beyond their roles running the education and operations departments.
As both Crash and Praxis continued to mature, it became clear Praxis needed more than my quarter-assing job of CEOing!
As I said, I’m not good at much but I am a good judge of talent. And I know that a talented, full-time CEO can take Praxis to heights well beyond what we’ve achieved in the first six years.
That is why I asked Cameron if he would be willing to step up as the new CEO of Praxis.
Thankfully, he said yes!
Cameron is the most trust-worthy person I’ve ever worked with. He has excellent judgment. He is driven, focused, humble, open, and amazing at ping pong. Cameron is one of the best people managers I’ve ever met. Something I admire deeply, because I do not have that quality. He has a way of bringing out the best in people. He’s been an excellent COO the past several years, and has always stepped up to put out any fire, lead any department, foster any transition, or solve any problem that needed it. He is a leader.
I could not be more excited for the future of Praxis.
I will be playing an advisory role to Praxis and putting my full-time effort into Crash. I’m honored to pass the Praxis CEO baton to Cameron.
Congrats Cameron, and here’s to the next phase of Praxis leadership!

A word from Cameron Sorsby
Ever since Isaac shared his vision for Praxis with me early in 2013, I’ve been hooked. I believed so much in what we’ve been building that I put skin in the game the best way I knew how and became one of the first paying customers before joining the team the following year.
For the past 6 years, I’ve lived and breathed all things Praxis. I’m now more excited than ever about building a company that is the best in the world at helping individuals launch their careers and discover what makes them come alive.
Anyone who knows me personally, knows I’m competitive.
I embrace challenges, I look forward to solving the problems that keep me up at night, and I love to win.
I can’t promise much, but I can promise I will dedicate every ounce of my energy to building and growing Praxis so that we can serve many more of our awesome customers in the years to come than we have in our first half-decade plus.
Speaking of our customers, they are what make this company what it is. They are the ones that have led our growth through their trust in us to support their early career goals and I attribute all new customers to the success of our current and past participants. Without the work they put into making their own experience successful, we would have zero chance of succeeding as a company! Our number one objective will always be delivering exponential value to them.
I look forward to working with TK, Sara, and the team to not just continue the growth of Praxis, but to level up and make an even bigger impact in the years to come.
Now, back to work!
