Probably the number one question we get at Praxis is, “Is this real? It seems too good to be true. What’s the catch?”
Yes it’s real. No, it’s not too good to be true because it is true. No, there’s no catch, except that you have to want it and be committed to accelerating your personal growth.
It’s pretty straightforward. It’s hugely valuable to participants and the businesses that hire them through the program.
It only seems too rosy because we have been conditioned for decades to believe that career progress and personal growth can only take the form of six figure tuition at four year institutions followed by months of blasting resumes and getting crappy jobs and not knowing how to create a path to a fulfilling career and pay off debt at the same time, all while juggling listless boredom and parental pressure for prestige.
It’s absurd, and it doesn’t have to be that way.
The world has already changed. You can be on the leading edge. We want to help.

You can’t fake hundreds of participants.

We have reviews all over Product Hunt, Quora, Facebook, and other platforms. They were written by real people who have seen real results from Praxis.

Quora

“Praxis was a quarter million dollar decision for me.” (source)

“I also thought it was a scam when I first heard about it, and my family and friends were pretty worried about me getting caught up in something that might take my $1.1k and give me nothing. But then I started talking to Derek Magill, Hannah Frankman, Ryan Ferguson, and dozens of other employees there who are genuinely interested in helping young people launch real careers without hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt, while learning how to showcase skills and achieve success not only in the program but into the future. I build [sic] my website, did a lot of projects and documented them online, wrote hundreds of blog posts, and eventually landed a job with a real startup in Chicago!” (source)

Facebook

“The resources alone that Praxis offers are worth it to do the program, but on top of that, the community and advisors that Praxis has are top of the line. If you have a drive for learning, please at least check into Praxis and all it has to offer! I promise you won’t be disappointed.” (source)

“I graduate Praxis today. I have a job offer and a career trajectory that I would have never received without Praxis.” (source)

You can’t beat a true story.

Not only are our reviews everywhere, but many of our participants and alumni have personal blogs where they have shared their Praxis stories. In addition, our business partners have glowing reports from apprentices they’ve hired. Here are some of my favorites:
I knew I didn’t want to deal with the tens of thousands of dollars of debt that college would give me, nor all of the needless classes that I would be forced to spend time on simply to gain enough credits to graduate. When a friend told me about Praxis, it fit everything I wanted in an educational experience (and more). Not only would it give me training, experience, and a fast-track to the career I wanted, but the way Praxis is engineered I would end the program with zero debt! On top of that, I would get to keep in touch with the Praxis team beyond graduation for continued advising sessions and networking. Looking at college, my thought was “man, will I actually break even someday?” but with Praxis, I knew before going in that I would come out ahead! —Sarah Iddings

After working with [Praxis participants], it was clear that Praxis wasn’t just a placement agency brokering talent. The apprentices that came in were READY TO WORK, and they clearly had a level of professional understanding that is rarely found in any entry level employee.
With Praxis, we can trust that the candidates are consistent while also reserving the ability to part ways at the end of a six-month engagement if it’s the right thing for both parties. This has greatly enabled us to control costs on our HR team, but also in overhead, as we are not committed to a costly annual contract with new recruits.”

I think the most amazing thing about all of this is that I didn’t have to wait 4 years to start my career. I have no debt, I’ve moved across the country and lived in CA for 8 months, lived in a foreign country for 6 weeks, got 1 year of sales experience under my belt, I’m currently doing really well in my second job, and I know I can do well with whatever happens in my career going forward – all in less than 2 years – and I’m only 20 (almost 21) years old.
So, is Praxis worth it? 110%. Is it going to push you outside of your comfort zone? Heck yes. Will it be hard? Absolutely. But again, is it worth it? YES.
