Participants accepted into the Praxis program get an intense bootcamp where they gain the skills needed to succeed in their careers. After the bootcamp they begin a paid apprenticeship with one of our business partners. These aren’t dull corporate internships. These are dynamic startups and small businesses where participants get a chance to create real value and do real work. Entrepreneurship is the most valuable skill in the emerging economy, and there’s no better classroom than alongside entrepreneurs in the real world to learn it.
While apprenticing, participants get weekly coaching, access to a rich resource library, tailored modules to improve hard and soft skills, a world-class network, and a portfolio to showcase their work.
Upon completion of the program, graduates get hired full time with their business partner at a minimum of $40k/year.

Location: Atlanta, GA
Capacity: Sales
GuildQuality is an Atlanta-based Software-as-a-Service company serving home builders, contractors, and remodelers. Founded by Geoff Graham, GuildQuality specializes in customer satisfaction software and services to make the home building and renovation process as excellent as possible. GuildQuality is looking for an ambitious Praxis participant to work in a Sales Executive role at the company — closing deals and fostering relationships with clients. GuildQuality has consistently been ranked one of the best places to work in Atlanta since 2011.The ideal candidate should be:

Ceterus
Location: Charleston, SC
Capacity: Business Development
Ceterus is a Charleston-based Software-as-a-Service company serving franchise and small business owners across the United States. Founded by Levi Morehouse, Ceterus is a leader in cloud accounting and bookkeeping software and services. Ceterus is growing rapidly and looking to add to their sales team. The selected Praxis participant will work closely with the Vice President of Sales to generate leads and foster relationships with franchise owners and operators across the country.
The ideal candidate should be:

Innovu
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Capacity: Data Science
Innovu is a Pittsburgh-based data science company specializing in providing services to health insurance brokers and medium-sized businesses. Growing rapidly to over 50 employees, Innovu seeks a Praxis participant with some background in statistics and data science to join their growing data science team. The selected participant will have the opportunity to work closely with the Chief Data Scientist and to learn and grow with the bleeding-edge of data science technology.
The ideal candidate should be:
- Excited about using the best technology available in the data science field.
- Experienced in either R, SQL, or Python (bonus for multiple)
- Experienced with at least some statistical analysis
- Looking to build a career with data science
Papirys
Location: Raleigh, NC
Capacity: Junior Software Developer (Blockchain)
Papirys is the first enterprise solution that allows multiple people to edit files while they are encrypted. We confirm the integrity of the information through a proprietary blockchain platform that we are licensing to large IT firms, 3D printing companies, and design firms. We want people to be able to collaborate on new ideas from anywhere in the world and commercialize those ideas more quickly. They are seeking programmers who are looking to join an early company that is transforming data encryption and collaborated software designs. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable with integrating networks, building databases, and blockchain technology.
The ideal candidate should be qualified in:
- JavaScript programming
- C++ programming
Bonus qualifications for:
- Experience with databases and IT networks

- Coursework in cryptography and data encryption

Vital Interaction
Location: Austin, TX
Capacity: Customer Support
Vital Interaction is a software platform that enables healthcare organizations to communicate more effectively with patients using text messaging, automated voice and email. This automated system helps both patients and health care providers connect quickly through technology to remind patients of appointments, fill open slots and request patient feedback. They are looking for ambitious young people to join their customer support team.
The ideal candidate should be:
- Comfortable with learning new technologies
- A-type, extroverted, and very people oriented
- Highly organized
- Capable of high-level verbal and written communication
Springboard
Location: San Francisco, CA
Capacity: Mentor Operations
Springboard is a mentorship-driven digital learning platform based out of downtown San Francisco. Springboard runs workshops in UX Design and Data Science and connects students with mentors with experience in that field. Having just raised $1.7M in venture capital — including from the co-founder of LinkedIn — Springboard is looking at aggressively growing its team through 2016. They’re looking for a highly competent young person passionate about education to join their Mentor Operations team.
The ideal candidate should be:
- An athelete — capable of doing many things well, not satisfied with just being focused in one area.
- Excited and passionate about innovative education.
- Excellent in verbal and written communication.
- Excited about working on a small, but growing, team and getting a chance to see every part of the company as it grows.
